What, no picture?!

I know I didn't update a picture this week. I was feeling lazy for some reason and really didn't want to do myself up to get a picture. I'll take one this week though. And just so you don't think I've been too lazy, we've had major accomplishments this week. After spending last weekend clearing out a good majority of the baby's room, we've finished most of it at this point. Chris took the other bookshelf and books downstairs along with the pink recliner :) We picked up the dresser today and also touched up the walls. I'm hoping to put the crib together sometime this week before our vacation to Gulf Shores, AL on Friday...yahoo!!!!

Starting the Nursery

Chris and I spent the day preparing our house for what will soon be the nursery. In order for this to happen, we first had to put together two new bookshelves in our front living room. We planned to bring all the office furniture downstairs as well but decided against it after moving the desk. Our front living room is so oddly shaped that it can be difficult to rearrange furniture. Instead, we rearranged the guest bedroom so we could put the desk and office stuff in there. Here's what we have so far:

We also purchased a rocker/recliner/chaise for the nursery today. It should be in by Tuesday (ultrasound day!!!) Here it is:

20 Weeks and Another Appointment

We had another doctor's appointment today. Nothing too exciting to report other than I've gained 6 more pounds (still within legal limits!) and my blood pressure was 100/60. We heard the heartbeat but I forgot to ask how many beats per minute it was. We've scheduled the Big Ultrasound for Tuesday at 8:15!!!

In the meantime, here's the 20 week shot...we're halfway there!!!

Baby Kicks!

So it's really crazy that as soon as I post an entry about not really feeling baby kick yet, it decides to kick! On Thursday night, Chris and I were watching t.v. when all of a sudden I felt little baby kicks. They just kept on coming, especially when I flipped to my side. That night in bed it continued to kick away. It's so surreal to finally be able to feel the baby and not have to get out the doppler! I've been able to feel it once on the outside and tried to get it to happen again last night so Chris could feel...no luck with that one. It shouldn't be long though. So exciting!

19 Weeks

Baby's getting bigger! This has been my first week off of school and man has the time crawled by. I'm getting overly anxious to find out what the baby is so that makes things to even slower. Baby has become a little more active this week with an occassional flip or kick. I noticed today that it really doesn't like being in the shower. That's the time of day when I feel kicks and pushes the most. I can't wait until the kicks get stronger so there's no mistaking what I'm feeling. From what I've heard, I better watch what I wish for...especially when those strong little kicks keep me up in the middle of the night:)

I've had a crazy craving for strawberries this week. At Justin's graduation party this past weekend, I think I put away an entire carton of them myself. Hey, at least they're healthy right?!

We have a doctor's appointment this upcoming Wednesday and I'm really hoping we'll get to schedule the big ultrasound then!
